Single Phase Smart Prepaid Energy Meter adopts the latest edition STS technology. Then STS smart meter becomes more robust, reliable, modern and innovative. Additionally, purchased kWh transmits by using a 20 digits code&STS encryption algorithm protocol. In this way, it enables to automatically shut off power supply in the event of fraudulent manipulation. And the events include opening of the terminal cover or exceeding of power, etc.

Meanwhile, it supports both Standard Transfer Specification (STS) and Currency Transfer Specification (CTS) . When available credit exhausted, meter will disconnect power supply immediately and meters must not have the “emergency credit” function. It switches between postpaid and prepayment mode, and it offers Customer Interface Unit (CIU) as an optional device. With plug-in&play-out communication module among PLC, RF, GPRS or 3G, it realizes advanced AMI features.

II. Technical Features

a. Prepayment function

The power vending system will generate a 20 digits code according to user’s information and purchased energy. Then user enters the codes and the meter can import the purchased energy via data decryption operation. The meter can automatically disconnect the load when finishing credit. And it also can automatically reconnect the load after charging kWh.

Power purchase procedure:

(1) Please go to the power vending station

(2) Provide meter ID to operator

(3) Tell the operator how many energy and pay it.

(4) On the receipt, get a printed token information: 20-digit TOKEN and other information.

(5) User inputs 20 digits code to meter through the keypad. The meter will accept the purchased energy after key authentication. It will automatically update the remaining credit and accumulative energy.

Function&Feature

Programmable low credit alert & have an alarm based on a minimum credit threshold. The meter can be programmed to set user credit alert threshold.
When the remaining credit in the meter is exhausted, the relay built into the meter will automatically cut off the power to the load. Customer’s power will be restored after recharging.
The 8-digit LCD screen displays the acceptance or rejection of a 20-digit token.
When you open the terminal cover or the meter cover when the power is on, the meter cuts off the power supply and signals the anomaly (on the LCD screen and by LED). You need an anti-fraud code (maintenance tokens to reconnect the integrated contactor).
Neutral measurement is optional
In the case of detection of a bypass current, the meter will integrate the highest value of the current for the measurement of the active energy.
Recent 10 times purchase charging TOKEN with time flag can be recorded and checked.
Programmable lower voltage or higher voltage threshold.
Alternate prepayment mode to postpaid by special TOKEN code.
